Large, three-dimensional sterling lilypad brooch by Gertrude Engel for A. Michelsen, Denmark; about 2-1/8" x 2" with protruding flower; marked: "Engel" and "STERLING, DENMARK" with "AM" under a crown in a triangular cartouche (for A. Michelsen); nice patina, fine condition. Gertrude Engel designed her jewelry based on plant-life found along the Danish Coast; she designed for A. Michelsen during the 1950s.
