A wonderful, charming cat pin by Idella La Vista;
pictured in the New York Times Herald, June 23, 1953 (see below); about 2-3/4"
tall with stone eye (may be a carnelian); marked: "La Vista, STERLING;"
fine condition. Idella La Vista was a talented and dedicated artist who created jewelry and owned a shop where she sold her work and promoted artists from other disciplines. In the 1950's, her shop and studio was at 44 West 54th Street in New York City.
