This amazing ring is pictured in my book, Form & Function, American
Modernist Jewelry, 1940 - 1970, on page 158; it is 18K gold, hammered
and built-up with granulation--designs that speak of water, sea and sand; the
enameled portion pictures a young girl with a bucket on a sunny day at
the beach, two red fish swim (perhaps from the bucket) and there are
waves and reflections of the sun--a truly beautiful scene to wear!
There is a bezel-set red stone cabochon--perhaps garnet on one of the
protruding sections; the ring is about size seven, total width across is
approximately 2-1/2" and the height (top to bottom) is about 1-1/8";
marked: "MK, 18K;" 21.2 dwt.; excellent condition. SOLD (item #K25) |

A huge and stunning lapis cabochon, laced with gold flecks, graces the top
of this hammered 18K gold ring with a side opal cabochon in a hinged
bezel setting; ring is about size 5-1/2-6 and is open at the back to
allow for a slightly larger size; about 1-3/8" from band to the top of
the lapis cabochon; about 1-1/2"; marked: "MK, 18K;"17.7
dwt.; excellent
