Highly sculptural bronze and pyrite ring by Pal Kepenyes; top is approximately 1-1/8" x 3/4"; ring is about size 6; the look of the prongs (some seem to be broken) is an integral part of Kepenyes design; marked: "Pal Kepenyes"; great patina; fine condition. "The strikingly unique art of Kepenyes has been collected by such celebrities as Bob Hope, Robin Leach and Robert Stack." He was born in Kondoros, Hungary, and began exhibiting in Budapest in 1946. His work had been shown in Paris, London, Berlin, Canada, the United States and Mexico, where he now lives. His work in museum and private collections throughout the world.
