Great early earrings by William Spratling, ca. 1940s; sterling and amethysts; screwbacks; each is about 2-1/4" long (including top sterling bead); marked with the "WS" print mark in a circle with "SPRATLING, MADE IN MEXICO;" amethysts show inside cracks and inclusions and there are a couple of rough spots on the exterior of the stones, but all of it appears to be original to the making of the earrings.
