John Bryan was a modernist jeweler who lived and worked in the 1950s in Asheville, North Carolina.  He worked mostly in abstract designs in enamel on silver and sold his work through the Southern Highlands Craft Guild in where he was a member, and at one time on the board of directors.  He died in 1982 at the age of 85.
