A wonderful example of the work of Jean Emile Puiforcat; Art Deco sterling spoon in its original box; presumably made for the 1937 Exposition des Arts Décoratifs, with PARIS 1937 on one side and the ship of Paris on the other; approximately 5-3/4" long (12cm); marked with Puiforcat's bench mark "EP"(within lozenge), and French hallmark for first silver standard  (Poinçon de garantie premier titre) indicating .950 sterling and "JEAN E. PUIFORCAT" (on edge of the handle);  fine condition.
