Wonderful, large, colorful abstract enamel on copper pin with gold accents by mid 20-century enamellist Miriam Peck; approximately 2-3/4" x 2"; signed: "Miriam Peck" in gold script on the reverse; a small chip lower right corner and some very fine radiating cracks from the corner and a chip to the enamel on the reverse upper left point that translated into fine cracks on the front, though enamel is stable and otherwise fine.

Enamels by Miriam Peck are not readily available.  She is mentioned in my book, "Modernist Jewelry, the Wearable Art Movement" on page 156. She exhibited at the Walker Art Center in 1955. She attended Western Reserve University and the Cleveland Institute of Art and created enamel jewelry in mostly abstract designs on fine silver and copper.
